Community links during the festive period were:

Sowerby Village Christmas Fayre on Friday 2 December 2.30pm in the school hall.

St Nicholas Day Service at St Peter's Church on Friday 2 December at 6.30pm. Local schools told the Nativity story as part of the service followed by the switching on of Sowerby lights by Frank Watene, Halifax Rugby League player.

Children from Sowerby Village performed Christmas items for residents of Rawson Wood on Wednesday 7 December at 10.30.

Children in Key Stage 1 presented a Nativity to parents, friends and visitors on Thursday 9 December, 9.15am in the school hall.

The school held its annual Carol Service for parents, governors and friends on Thursday 15 December at 9.30am in St Peter's Church. Everyone was invited to attend.
