As most children continue to work at home, we celebrate some of their super work in our fourth Praise Worship.
Here is our third online Praise Worship. Well done to our winners and to all the children who are completing some excellent work.
Here is our second on-line Praise Worship. Well done to our winners this week, you've all done so well!! If you'd like to join the prayer next week, check with your adult and send your special amen photos to your teachers. See you next time :)
Here is our very first online praise assembly presented by Mrs Mitchell.
Lots of our children have been showing their gratitude towards NHS staff and other key workers during these difficult times.
Take a look at some of the art work and messages they have produced.
Vanessa, one of our year 5 pupils, has written a lovely poem to thank all the teachers at Sowerby Village for their hard work and support.
Our school prayer
As a school we say this prayer regualry both in class and during times of worship. Saying it together at home may bring some comfort and give your children time to reflect and think about everything and everyone they are thankful for.

Are you feeling worried or anxious during these uncertain times?
Many people are feeling anxious about the effects of the coronavirus. Leeds Christian Community Trust has opened a telephone line to provide a listening ear and/or prayer support to any adults over the age of 18. Between 6 pm and 8 pm each evening a member of their team will be available to chat, listen, and to pray. Call them on 0330 5001 614 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your details.
An appeal for help from Nikki at Overgate Hospice to show your appreciation.
"We have designed two colouring sheets. The first one is a picture of one of our nurses with Harold and of course the NHS rainbow. We are asking people to complete it and put it in their window.
The other design asks for a message to be written to our doctors and nurses and coloured in, this can be posted to the Hospice at:
30 Hullen Edge Road,
On the back of your picture, write the child's name and school so we can share them.
We hope you will all get involved with this!"
Why not colour in one of these colouring sheets to thank our postal workers?
We thank all of our key workers for their hard work!
Here are some colouring sheets that you could use! Colour them in, ask your parents to put it on social media with #thumbsupforyourpostie
or put them in your window for your postal worker to see.
